There was a movie about a guy who could blend into every object like a wall or anything. I think he was a magician or something but he was terrorizing people. I thought it might be Christian Bale but I can't seem to find it. Please help..

Julia is babysitting two children while a doctor and his wife are out. During the evening, a stranger knocks on the door asking Julia if she can call the auto club so he can get a tow. The phone line is dead though. This is all part of the act, as he has made his way inside and has abducted the children. Years later, Julia has become an introverted college student. She claims the stalker is back, haunting her. Enter Jill Johnson and now-retired cop John Clifford (of "When a Stranger Calls"), who have reunited to help Julia find the stalker. Can they stop him before he strikes again?

He is a ventriloquist who can paint himself to look like a wall. (At least, I recall him doing that, as a brick wall; we become aware of this when he opens his eyes, a startling image.)
