I have a Scotts S1642. It will not start, not even a click. Started fine at beginning of season. Stopped it to refuel. Then nothing. Repl. Solenoid. Jumped seat safety sw, OK. Ignition sw passes ohms check between Batt and starter. Fuse checked OK.
Last things to check, clutch & brake safety sw. Found them but don't know how to jump. There are 4 wires in each plug. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe there is something else I am missing. Thanks

Have you cleaned the battery terminals? I would start there first. Also make sure your ground cable is clean at both ends.

Hi,
Both battery cables should be clean. The wires on the brake switch are color coded. Probably blue and blue with stripe, and purple and purple with a stripe. Blue ought to be the start circuit, if memory serves.
Peace,
