I installed a new fuel pump on my 2001 toyota tacoma and every now and then (like once a month) it will not start. If I give it overnight to set and come back it will start. This is weird and has not been a problem until the new fuel pump. What is this?

. Remove and clean the fuel pump fuse with abrasive cloth. Apply a thin coating of dielectric grease.
. Remove and clean the contacts to the fuel pump relay with abrasive cloth. Apply a thin coating of dielectric grease.
. Clean ground to fuel pump and check connections.
. Check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting, if the problem persists.
