I'm 31 weeks pregnant, my doctor says I only have a few more weeks probably until she is born. Is it okay for me to use evening primrose oil or any other product to help soften my cervix to make it easier? She's already almost 5 lbs.

Let nature take it's course.
If there's anything that needs to be done your DOCTOR will advise accordingly.

I have polyhydramnios and I think the amniotic sac has been leaking, but my OB/GYN won't check she says I'm just peeing on myself... It's clear and constantly trickles or sometimes really gets my underwear wet! I'm scared there is a leak and she won't know it and something will go wrong! Please help!

Okay. I'm just really nervous and scared... this is my first pregnancy and I am only 4 foot 9. I've already dropped, I've been leaking fluid, having contractions and my dr won't do anything or check me. I don't want there to be difficulties if it can be prevented.

The softness of your cervix won't be the problem. Nature takes care of that. I am 5' tall and had a 6-pound son and then, four years later, a son who was over 8 pounds. It's all in how your pelvic bones open up and how relaxed you are. Have you taken lessons in how to breathe during the different stages of labor?

Please don't use anything to"soften" your cervix. Baby's lungs are not properly formed at 31 weeks, you don't want to go into labor now. You would be risking the life of your baby.

If you feel you are leaking fluid, go to the Labor & Delivery department you are to deliver at. They will test the fluid to see if it is indeed amniotic fluid or urine.
