Hello,

I am a citizen of India and worked for a Boston based organization, on an F1-OPT status, from June 2012 to June 2013. My OPT would end on June 17, 2013. I am returning to India and just wanted to know -

1) if I can file Form 1040 NR-EZ and form 8843 in April 2014, while in India as I expect to get a tax refund..

2) Is there any additional form I need to file in April 2014?

Thank you

1) Yes, you can file from India as soon as you get your W-2. No need to wait until April 2014. The return must be mailed if ypu file Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ.

2) You must also submit Form 8843 with the tax return.

When did to arrive in the U.S. on your F-1 visa?

I arrived in August 2010.
Sorry, a follow up question...

And, IRS can wire the refund to my Indian account or should I keep my American bank account, active, till this refund comes?.

Keep your U.S. bank account active, because neither the IRS nor tge states will direct deposit to a foreign bank.
