My walker hound suddenly has a swollen jaw and throat/neck area, he hasn't eaten for a couple days and just lays around. What could be wrong with him?

He could have an abscessed tooth or some other kind of infection. This won't heal on its own, and is only going to get worse. Please, please, please get him to a vet!

Having worked in a veterinary office, I fully agree with Wondergirl! There are too many things that could be wrong, and your dog really needs to see a vet so that it can be properly treated. If money is an issue, state that right up front so the vet can work with you on it, as most will just run the most crucial tests if they know you don't have a lot of money for the full spectrum!
