Hello. I've been friends with this girl for almost 10 years now, we lost contact for a while but now we are back on track, she's had a steady boyfriend for the last four years. The feelings that I had for her are all of a sudden back. She's my "unicorn" if you will. Everyone I know says that I should tell her that I like her more than a friend, but I can't find in me to be the "home wrecker". But the texts back and forth and the just the little things she does when we are out together says that I should. I need help!

'Out together?' How much of this do you two do?
If you are her hang-out buddy, it's time to tell her that you have feelings for her and will have to pull away. Be prepared for any reaction - she is shocked, she wants to keep you as her friend only (not fair to you), or she is looking for any reason to dump her boyfriend. Just don't give that last one top odds.

If she wanted to be with you, she'd dump the boyfriend. If she hasn't done that, that's a very clear indication that she's not interested in you. If she's the kind of girl that doesn't dump one guy until she's sure another is interested, then she's not the kind of girl anyone should date, unless they want their heart broken.

Either way, you have no right to tell her you want a relationship because she's already in one.

Talaniman Rule - Leave people in a relationship alone. They are out of bounds for romance.

Why are you hanging around a female with a boyfriend so much any way? I can see friends but who teases themselves with a hangout buddy and even considers crossing the lines of good behavior with a friend who has a partner already?

If you cannot control your feelings or actions, don't hangout. I mean what is she supposed to do about YOUR feelings? Cheat? Dump her boyfriend for you? Or dump YOU?
