Using OUTLOOK EXPRESS... I am able to embed sound into an email by
Choosing FORMAT--SOUND and then choosing the file.

Now... If I put in a MIDI, my friends that also have OE can hear it
Playing in the background however if I inset another file, such as a
Wave or MP3... although I can hear it while I'm sending it... they
Cannot hear these files.

The same goes if they send a background sound embedded into an email
To me. If it's a MIDI, I hear it no problem but I cannot hear the
Wavs or MP3s.

Is there a reason for this? I can hear MP3s and WAVs on my PC, but
Not embedded into an email.

How can I set it up to hear these files playing in the background, and
Also for my friends to hear them in the background when I send them?

Thanks in advance.

Well first there is a copyright issue If you are sending commercial copyrighted music, you may be violating the copyright.

Second, if I received an e-mail that started playing music when I opened it, I'd close it immediately and be very upset with the sender. You never know WHERE a person might be opening the e-mail and having a sound play without permission could be a real problem.

If you want to link to music so the user can CHOOSE to play or not, that's fine.
