My tractor is a Model #917270860. I have replaced the seat interlock switch and the interlock switch behind dash (for the mower engagement lever) I need to know how to remove the second interlock switch which is being held in by the foot lever or brake some how and I can't get under the mower and deck to see. I can almost push it out but its catching on something and can't see what. It would be nice to have a lift. That's what I need.

Hi,
Better off to remove the deck, covered in owners manual at:
Owner's Manual - CRAFTSMAN Lawn, Tractor 917270860 - ManageMyLife.com (http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/10665/CRAFTSMAN-Lawn-Tractor-L9080083?brand_name_search=917270860)
And notice link at upper left of maula to download.

Thanks Clarke, I did end up removing the deck and it made a world of difference. It's a must. I ended up replacing that switch and it still dies when you lift the deck clutch lever, and when you let out on the foot brake. There's only one more interlock switch left, so if this doesn't fix it I'm all out of ideas. If you have any ideas let me know would you. Thanks, Luke.. .

Hi,
It is obvious to me that it is related to the seat switch and a thing called operator presence. May not be the switch itself, but the associated wiring, but the machine does not "know" the seat is occupied.
