I took 50mg of clomid for the first time and got no period. Iam 2 weeks late with several negative hpt tests. I have never been late on my period. What could have caused this?

When did you test? When you tested did you use first morning urine? When was the last test taken?

I did use first morning urine and I've been testing every day the first week then every other day the second week till I gave up and realized I'm not pregnant.

The rule is that you shouldn't test until you're at least 2 weeks late for your period. Even then, false negatives are very common. This does not mean you're not pregnant, it's possible that you're testing too soon, or you're testing incorrectly, or the tests are failing.

Wait until your next period. If you miss it, test again, or get a blood test done. Don't rule out pregnancy yet.

I told my obgyn all about this and she prescribed me Provera to take for 10 days. So I'm going to start this today. Then she wants to up my dosage to 100mg when I do start. I'm really worried now about taking Clomid at all considering it obviously messed up my cycle. But I'm just going to hope my obgyn knows what she's doing.
