I had a drink Tuesday which contained 2oz of liquor (long island ice tea at applebees) I ASKED THEM how many oz it contained by the way so it could be confirmed and I want to know if I had the drink around 1030 pm or so will it show up on my EtG test I took Thursday at 1200 noon? I am 5'11 and weigh about 174lbs

That's the absolute most watered down Long Island Iced tea I've ever heard of with only 2 oz of booze in it.

Just so I have this right - you aren't supposed to drink and so when you ordered you asked specifically how many ounces of alcohol you would be getting?

Yes, you should pass.

Yes smoothy it was only 2oz I called and asked them and no judykaytee I asked/called them to see how many oz were in my drink so that way I knew how to see if it was going to be in my system for the EtG... I won't know the results till next thrusday I took the test at 12noon today

Yes I asked them to see how many oz were in the drink and I'm freaking out about the test.

You can't be freaking out too much. If you had the sense to ask them about alcohol content because you knew there was a test coming, then you should have had the sense to have a Coke or Pepsi instead.

Anyway, calm down, you'll probably pass anyway.

Well, whatever... I still think that it's odd how you are freaking out but if you had just followed the rules and not had a drink anyway... you wouldn't need to be worrying at all. I mean, you do know you're not supposed to drink but you did... and now you're worried.

Some worry is good for you... but with that said I will say AGAIN that if the story is accurate, with the amount of time that has gone by, you will most likely pass.

Because there are 2 threads on this same subject I would suggest refusing probation, insisting on a jail term and/or fine instead, serving the time - and then, when OP gets out, he/she can drink until stupid night after night without any worries in the world.

Well, of course, killing someone on the highway is always a concern.

Oh, and if the bartender guarantees the alcohol content and lies, I would sue the chain. I believe in this case it's Applebee's. You could claim Applebees lied and put you in a very bad spot, totally out of your control. I hate when I ask the alcohol content in something and the bartender lies to me. Oh wait, I never ask. Never mind.

To re-cap. You're obviously on probation and not supposed to drink. They don't give you notice when they're going to test, that would be stupid. So you chose to disobey the rules and you had a drink, then bam, they're testing, now you're worried because you know you broke the rules, and you may get caught. So you call the restaurant and ask how much alcohol was in the drink you ordered. You find out it's 2 oz. You're still freaking out because you don't know if you'll pass.

Here's a thought. FOLLOW THE RULES AND STOP DRINKING!

It's really not a hard puzzle to solve. If you're on probation and will go to jail if you don't follow the rules, then follow the rules. If you break the rules, do it and go to jail, get it over with. Obviously not having a drink isn't possible for you. Once you're in jail you won't have a choice.

So sick of these questions. You're not supposed to drink. How hard is it to follow that rule? How hard is it to realize you have a problem and you need help, if drinking means jail, and you still drink?

You know one simple way to ensure the test is clean? Don't drink! If you can't do that, then get help! It's not hard to figure out!

Apparently, if it's not for probation, his employer feels the need to test him regularly.

THe only other place I can think of that might do that type of testing (other than conditions of Probation or Parol)... Would be for people with Commercial Drivers Licenses... or certain people in the medical field.

Job screening tests basically screen out the people dumb enough to show up under the influence for the test.
