I have been talking to a lady from Ghana who wants to come from there to the u.s. for a visit. She showed me this document about the basic travel allowance of having to have thousands of dollars to travel here. Is this true? I see that it is a scam but wanted to ask u to verify this form me. My email address is >Removed<. Thank u for your time and consideration in this matter. Please tell me, if u would, what the cost of a visa, passport and this so called BTA is please. Thank u again.

It's a scam... it doesn't matter the cost of the visa or passport because if you send anything, you won't get anything out of it. "She" is probably not even really a woman that you are writing to. They are very good at what they do and there is a large network of people that do this. If you send any money, something will happen where they will need more... their son/daughter will be sick... their mother will need something... they will have been detained and need money... there is always something to keep you sending money until you either get wise to it or run out of money. There is no legal recourse to get your money back either.

Don't do it... give up this person and consider yourself lucky that you know it's a scam before you lost anything.
