Hey, my little sister, Jasmine, is in year 6 and she's having her sats.
I was wondering why do we have sats because when I did my sats my high school didn't care about it as I had to od an entrance exam. They based group on my entrance exam grade. They didn't really care about my sats result.
So why year 6 need do it if high schools make you do an entrance exam??

Are you sure these are the same SAT exams given by the College Board for college entrance?

They may be the STAR testing or the Scholastic Aptitude tests.

I think you're confused. The SAT's are given to high school students, not children in 6th grade.

We take SAT's throughout 2-8th grade. It is not the SAT that counts toward high school. They have different names in different states in the U.S, but basically measure Language Arts, Math, writing, Science, History, etc. in elementary through middle school.

Many schools use end of year testing, some will use the CAT test, which is what we use for our son, It will evaluate their learning. And is common.

Ahh, this is an international site. You need to specify your location. UK schools are very different from US schools.
