I am an American woman wanting to marry a gentleman from Tunisia. I was told it could take 6 months. Is there a way to get him here with me faster I love him very much and want him by my side. He said I can come live with him but I have children so this is a bit difficult. Please help us. He has waited 5 months already while I sought a lawyers help who did nothing for these 5 months. Please I am asking you to please help.
Please tell me what action is best to take and step by step on how to do this. I will be eternally greatfull if anyone can help.

You need an Immigration Lawyer. There is nothing anyone here can do to expedite the process.

The last time you saw him did he come to the US or did you go there?

Have you checked the US immigration website? Does he have a trade or occupation vital to the US economy? Getting married isn't enough to get in.

Have you two spent any time together, in person?

Six months term is good enough. It could take up to a year or longer in many countries such as India, China, Vietnam, etc.

Sorry I am new to this forum so I hope I am responding correctly. Thank you for all your advice. I have not met him in person I have children so it is difficult for me to go to him. He wants to come to me to help ease my burdens and we are working on this at the moment. We have talked everyday and discussed much.

I did and I am still rereading it to make sure I understand all of it correctly. No he does not have a trade or occupation vital to US economy. We have only spent time together online.

Yes I believe so. I did talk to one and he said it would be close to 6 months. We have not met in person as of yet but he is planning a visit here so we can meet in person.

This is not an Immigration question but how does your family feel about this? An online relationship with a planned marriage, no time together, and you have children - ?

And what is the children's father's "take" on this?

You plan to sponsor him into the US - I gather?

Usually men are posting this question about Russian women.
