gabe19, you're going to have to explain your answer some how because it seems clearly wrong as far as I can see. What's a for example? I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt before I rate your answer as incorrect since you didn't really say where that came from or how you expect it to be applied.

I think he was trying to ask a new question, asterisk, I forgot to move it this morning.
I suggest we assume that this equation =0 and then help him to solve :)

I assume you're factoring to find the roots.
a^{3}-36a^{2}-9a+324=0
Rearrange and factor:
a(a^{2}-9)-36(a^{2}-9)=0
See what's in the parentheses? The difference of two squares.
Now finish?
