How do I read a MPP file (Microsft Power project)

Do I need a MPP project viewer or can I read it using
Another software ?

Is it also possible to edit the file ?

You can open MPP files with Microsoft Project (MPP stands for Microsoft Project Plan). That's rather expensive, so alternatively you can try one of several available viewers, such as:

LiveProject by KaDonk (http://www.kadonk.com/freeprojectviewer.aspx) (Free)
Steelray Project Viewer (http://www.steelray.com) (Fee)
Seavus Project Viewer (http://www.seavus.com) (Fee)

And there may be others out there.
