My not quite 2 year old Briggs & Stratton lawnmower starts but only runs about 10 seconds, then quits. I have cleaned the air filter, checked the spark plug & nothing. My neighbors are going to get tired of me borrowing their lawnmowers & I really do not like to use something that belongs to someone else. Any suggestions ? By the way, I am a woman so do not get to technical on me. Thanks !

The carb needs taken apart... cleaned properly and put back together... and next year runt the tank completely dry before putting it away for the winter. I'm guessing you have crud and varnish buildup... or worse corrosion from the ethanol in the gas.
