I can't get the air conditioning to turn on the heat works fine. I have old wiring. I have the blue connect to the c red to the rc and the green to the green and the white to the white. I also tried the white to the yellow and it still doesn't work.

Hook the blue to y and let me know if it works then. With the wires you have, red to r, white to w, g to green, and blue to y.
