Agreed. If you have not already done so, use a qualified tax professional, either an enrolled agent or an accountant.
An enrolled agent is a tax specialist who has taken an IRS certification exam and is licensed by the IRS to represent taxpayers.
An accountant could also provide other financial advice on how to properly take care of your mother's financial matters.
Do not prepare the return yourself.
