I have an electrical junction box in my room and a ceiling light is connected to this junction box. I'm trying to install a track light in the room without removing the ceiling light. Can I add a junction box in the room using the present junction box as a source? Which wires do I connect?

If you do this the track will com on with the light. Is that what you want?

If so then come from the light box to the new track box and just wire the track the same as the light.
