I have a he4t washer with no power I replaced CCU and the front lit up and I pressed cancel put the mach. Back together when I finished the unit has no power again. Do you think the control panel may have a problem taking out the CCU?

I would say you should check things with a meter before changing parts.

I did check that I had power coming in but w/o a service manual I don't know what I'm looking for. I was hoping someone else had the problem and found that maybe another component in the washer was to blame for taking out the CCU. I've read many posts on this subject and they all say replace the CCU, so I did. Initially it powered up and I thought, great it's fixed and then 5 minutes later after I get the thing back together it's back to the same issue.

Something may have come unplugged during assembly. Take a look at connectors/connections.
Without a Manual, just follow the power and see where it is lost.

Look at this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8010163/Understanding%20automatic%20washer.pdf
It describes how they work and this is more specific to your model: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8010163/Kenmore_Washer_Elite.pdf
You cannot just throw parts at this machine without using a meter to test the parts. Some problems, the majority, cannot be seen without a meter. Here is how to use one: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8010163/How%20to%20use%20Test%20Equipment%20Service%20Manu al.pdf

Guys I thank you for the response and I want you guys to know that I'm a very capable service tech myself. I was just looking to see if maybe a whirlpool tech may monitor this site and know of a service bulletin that may be out there regarding this problem. I'm well aware of how to service unfortunately they make no service manual available and no schematics that I know of. Tracing power through this machine is almost impossible without some schematic to follow since its PCBs after the power enters the cabinet. Where can I find a wiring diagram or schematic for this machine?

I wanted to update this post to let anyone with the similar problem know what I found was the problem. The reason the washer had no power up or start up was due to the ribbon cable from the front control panel to the CCU has rubbed up against the cabinet and tore the outer most wire on the ribbon cable and that's why the machine wouldn't run. Also some post talk about hearing a relay click or humm when the power cord is plugged into and outlet and I still don't hear it and my machine is working fine. Good luck to all you people who are trying to fix their own whirlpool or Kenmore machines- I will never buy another product from whirlpool again I still can't believe you cannot get a service manual or schematic for these products. Time to go wash clothes. Thx again to those with advice.
