37 year I was arrest for B&E&L breaking and entering non violent crime My sister and enter this abandon house next door and she told some old pots and pans from it. DFC did a nation wide background check. My case was still open I wrote the judge and explianed that I did that but I never committed another crime since then. Returned papers stated not guilty order by the court/ Under NOLLEPROSEQUI Stated- Further prosecution of this case is not in the best interest of justice.
Question I don't know how to answer the question in a job application. For committing crime is this a mistamener I don't know.

You were probaby charged with a misdemeanor, but not convicted. Does the application form ask if you have ever committed a crime, been charged with a crime or been convicted?

Committed? - Perhaps. What, exactly was the "it" that you admitted doing?

Charged?-yes

Convicted? - no.

I find it hard to believe that you are being asked anything other than "convicted". If truth be told, virtually everyone in the world over the age of two has committed some sort of crime at one time or another.
