I was out on probation for 3 years 13 months ago in Alabama. Baldwin county as a matter of fact. I had $3400. In restitution to pay. In January of this year, my judge retired. There is a new judge. I am on a no appearance docket, I was put on phone report by my Po, no problems, issues, etc. as of 4/11/2013, my restitution is now paid in full. $2955 paid at one time. This was the only real condition of my probation... To pay restitution. So my probation officer said he would send early release paper to my judge and see what he says. I have 2 months until I'm halfway done with probation but my condition of restitution is paid. I owe nothing to them. My Po said that most judges like for you to do half of your probation time but I'm only two months from that n I am paid in FULL! I would like to know the probability of the judge releasing my probation. Should I be worried?

What part of this is ridiculous?

Whether you are released is at the discretion of the Judge. Your PO can suggest/advise, but cannot make this decision.

Do I have this right? Your restitution was one amount if you made payments or a lessor amount if you pay lump sum.
