I need help finding a movie. I'm pretty sure it is an 80's action movie where in one scene the villains either threaten or use pliers on a guy's knuckle. Eventually the hero comes back and takes everyone out. There is lots of guns and chases. I know this is an ultra vague description but I've been looking for this movie for a while.

I believe I have seen something similar. It was about some mafia that chased down some guy and asked questions and for every question the cut off one of his fingers. After three-or-questions the criminal says something in this way: "I have very bad knews for you. I have 7 questions more"

Unfortunately I don't either remember the name of this movie but if it is the same movie, I believe it to be perhaps a 90's movie
