Is there a product to clear, or digest clogs one can't reach with a snake? Trap is clean, and my roof is 20+ feet high over tub, too far to snake by hand. Roof is too steep for any powered snake.
Thank you.

Did you try to remove lever plate and see if tub drains better w/o it ? Also, the "piston" inside may need adjusting. Then I would proceed with snaking drain down the flow. Back to you. Milo

This is an old tub, no lever to close drain, just an overflow opening. I did snake down the overflow, but it didn't seem to go far enough to get to the blockage. The drainpipe goes quite a ways before it enters the main drain. That's why I was wondering if there is some sort of digesting product. Or I can shop for a longer sink/tub snake.

Can the trap be accessed from the bottom ?
It appears to me your snake gets stuck inside the trap. It cannot make the turn. You have to use 1/4" power snake with lose tip to negotiate the trap. This tip will guide the cable through the sharp bends. But even here, it is 50/50 shot you will make it. Best would be to get under the tub and remove the trap.
Question: how do you plug the tub ?
