I live in the state of Kansas and I was just about to move and I got pulled over and got a possession and paraphernalia charge and I was wondering if I could transfer my probation to Montana and if so what would be the best way to go about this and would it be best to ask this right when I meet my probation officer or after I've been on probation for awhile

You should have asked the judge and had it arrange though court during the sentencing.

But if not, you meet with PO and make written application for a transfer. They may require certain fines or classes to be completed, and may ask for you to have an address and perhaps job where you are moving

OK thanks for the help I already went to court for it so do you think I should ask my PO the first time I meet with him?

OK thanks that's really helpful but I already went to court and they just gave me a misdemeanor and I haven't met wit my PO yet so so you think it would be smart to talk to him right when I meet with him or a little while after ?
