I have an amana ac that keeps tripping the breaker in the panel when you try to turn it on. Model number asz1440481ac

The unit is 5 years old any ideas what the problem might be

Bad compressor although I will admit it isn't that old. Sometimes the start relays ground out, crankcase heater if so equipped, etc. Probably should have a tech look at it.

May be as simple as a bad capacitor, or need of a super boost installed. Get a tech in there to determine if its an easy fix.
