The original issue I had a slow main line drainage, so if there was too much h2o going to the pipe it would back up in the washer drain in the basement. So what I did is pour the main line cleaner with lye down it. Followed the instructions and let it sit. And the next day when I tested it, the main does not drain at all. It got worse. I have snaked it with a 50' snake but only get half way till I hit an elbow. I can't coax it to go further. Now I was told before that because of the lye that probably liquidfied the sludge and now I might have sludge clog because of it. Now besides a plumber, is there anything I can do to fix this, what about those jet water bladders? Please help.

Rent a commercial sewer snake and be sure to ask for all the tips. (see image) Use the chain knocker to remove any chemicals that may be built up on the pipe walls foll9owed up by the auger. Now you know why I advise against using harsh chemicals in your drainage system. Good luck. Tom
