Can a spouse who has received indefinite leave to remain be removed if he has cheated on the uk life test which can be proved and left the marital home as soon as he received his status. It has been approx. 5 years since receiving his remain to leave and have been separated for 5 years and in the process of gaining a divorce. This marriage was a sham because he was married with kids without me knowing in Afghanistan and I believe I was duped into marriage with the sole purpose of him gaining the right to stay in the UK.

I have brought this case to the attention of the local MP, to which he has pointed out there is nothing that can be done seen as he has received his right to remain even having broken the law but the non advice I received was neither constructive or helpful but rather insulting.

I know of many cases where females have been the victim of such behaviour which should simply not be acceptable.

It is my understanding that the Police have already said no - have you asked an Attorney?

- or you can ask the other people who have had these same circumstances and been successful in whatever it is they tried to do.

Indefinite leave to remain status is safe even in case of divorce. So there is nothing you can do... move on.

No, there is nothing you can do - I told you so, the police said the same thing, so did an AMHD immigration specialist.
