A friend gave me the above table saw which was not working. I disconnected the switch and hooked the motor directly to a power supply and the saw did not come on so I know it was not the switch. Rather than try to rebuild the motor, where can I find one and about how much can I expect to pay?

Thanks.

Before I threw it away I would check for a small push button on the motor. A lot of these units have a circuit breaker type device built in. They are resetable by pushing them in. They are usually at or near the power connector or on back side of motor and are often red .

Good Luck,

Thanks for your reply. I looked over the motor and cannot find any such button. It may not even be worth buying a new motor but I thought I'd look into it. Anyone know where I can purchase one, even if it's refurbished? Thanks.

It is probably an OEM motor meaning it is built to Dewalts specs. Finding an exact replacement is probably done only through Dewalt (google search) The motor is probably worth opening up and checking brushes might just be poor contact to the comutator (where the brushes ride) or bad brushes all together.
