This is not a whole lot of money but we've worked hard at keeping a very good credit record and maintaining a really good credit score. Here is the problem: We paid our car insurance to Liberty in advance for one year. Well during this year we were building a house and a lot was going on. Our car insurance expired. I'm not sure where the notice went but in any case it expired in July. Now the insurance company says we owe them $64.00 but I'm not sure why. We did not sign up for another year. Is this something automatic? We are covered under an insurance plan from a local provider for our new house that also included our vehicles. I really don't want to pay for a service we did not ask for. Are we obligated to do so? I contacted Liberty and told them that we were covered under another insurance provider but they wanted me to send them a copy of our insurance with pricing and not just the "proof of insurance" that you keep in your car. I did not think that this was any of their business. Now they have turned us over to a collection agency. What do I need to do? Thanks for any help.

If you did not sign up for renewal you do not owe them any money.
