I had knee surgery and have been on oxycodone. I took 5-325 mg once at night and once in the morning. I took it exactly 22 days straight. I will be off exactly 13 days for my drug test. It's an official IOC/ Wada test for a sanctioned bench press meet. Will it be enough time to be out of my system?
Thanks,

I'm not sure of the answer to your question but wanted to suggest to you that, given you compete in these events, you advise your doctor in advance next time not to give you these medications.

I am terribly allergic to all narcotics so I can't take the serious pain relievers at all. I manage fine. I've had many major surgeries including a hysterectomy, root canals and a knee replacement, without any serious pain medication.

Early on when the pain is difficult, they give me more sedation so I sleep through the pain. After that initial acute phase - like the first 24 to 36 hours - I generally manage fine with a slightly higher than normal dose of regular over the counter pain relievers like advil or aleve. My doctor manages it, of course. Works great and I recover far more quickly than most people because I have less medication to recover from. That stuff sucks the life out of you, so even when you're awake, you're weak.
