Hi All,
I am a contract pilot for several companies. 2 companies in particular have me put jet fuel and other associated expenses on my own amex card and pay me back over the course of the year. When I received my 1099 form they not only had my income but the reimbursed aircraft expenses included. I know you can claim them as deductions on the schedule c but where exactly does it on a schedule c.
Thanks,
Jeff

They aren't picky about each line item on a Sch C, since they all are just deductions regardless. Put them wherever seems most applicable to you. I suppose they might wonder if someone who mows lawns has mostly office supplies or something, but in general it would take a random audit to be noticed, and you would just produce receipts. I assume that fuel is the biggest, so you could write 'aircraft fuel' on the dotted line under I think it's line 48, the second page where you put 'other.'.
