So, I'm 19 and I would like to get to know this guy I work with better. I work at an amusement park in New Jersey. He works inside of the ticket booth and I work standing outside the ticket booth. He kind of notices me, but I'm not completely sure. I was never good with guys. He works in a different department, so the only time I see him is when we're working the same time in the same area. My friends say just to go up to him and ask him out or at least talk to him. My dilemma is that I'm shy and because of the department he works in, he's always surrounded by other people he works with. So I can't just simply approach him and talk to him. I'm a sophomore in College, but I don't know how old he is. I don't even know his last name. But I remember the few times that we have talked even though they didn't mean much which is why I think I like him.

Best way to get over your fears : Face them. Sometimes all it really takes is a push. Just say "Hi, how's it going?" and see where it goes from there. Anyone can make small talk and it's better than sitting around with a whole list of "maybe".

Best of luck to you.

Just do it. Maybe try to catch him on break or after work. If you guys have lunch break, invite him to eat with you and start from there.

Talk to him when work isn't busy.
Make up and excuse to exchange numbers.
Hear him talking about a new movie? Ask him if he would want to go this weekend with you.
See if he could have lunch break with you if it is the same time
Add him one Facebook and try talking on there to break the ice if you really are that shy

You've got this :)
