I have an interesting problem and questioin how to resolve it!
We have roots growing around the toilet pipe--not in the pipe.
How do we remove the root, and control the growth?
How do we know if the root isn't growing under the slab of the house?
The bathroom where the situation had taken place, is in the middle of our home.
HELP!!

Tree toots often reach as far or farther than the crown of the branches. So, yes it can reach under your slab. Tree can crack a foundation too! You need to have the pipes rodder with a cutter that will remove the roots. I am a bit weak on this chemical name but believe cooper sulphate can be flushed a few times of the year to stun the root growth.

I have seen this before. On a toilet that was not set well, it leaked and some of the feces had seeds in it [guessing] and the seeds ended up under the toilet and started to grow. I pulled as many out as I could and poured salt on the rest and reset the toilet. I hope it worked but I never heard they had a problem again.
