I'm 20 years old, and I found this board by doing a Google search. I'm hoping you all might be able to help me out a little. I had my last period on February 17th, and I almost always get my period on the 17th of every month. Occasionally in my life I have been up to 2 weeks early, but never even one day late. It's the 20th now, and I still haven't gotten my period. The past few days I've felt like I'm going to get my period... I've had minor cramps off and on and have been extremely tired. But I don't feel bloated like I normally do, which is kind of strange to me. My boyfriend and I live together and we have had sex 4 times since my last period (and it sounds kind of strange but I always write down the dates, just in case)... and we always use a condom but I am not on any other form of birth control right now. My only "symptoms" right now (aside from the minor cramps) are some nausea (mostly in the morning before I eat something), very very tired, and I've been very emotional lately... which I though all had to do with PMS. I've been extra nauseous since Saturday but I'm pretty sure it's just anxiety because I'm afraid I might be pregnant. I haven't said anything to my boyfriend yet because I don't want to overreact since I am only 3 days late. I want to get a test but is 3 days late too soon to get a test anyway? I want to wait to see if/when I'm a week late (or unless I test positive) and then I'll say something to my boyfriend.

Yes 3 days late is a little early, it is best to wait until you are at least 1 week late, then test using the first urine you pass when you wake up in the morning. Don't forget, there were only 28 days in February and some months have 5 weeks instead of 4, so you do have to allow for that, if you had your period on the same date every month of the year, then some months you would be late.

It is possible to get an accurate result up to four days before your missed period, but it varies from woman to woman. I always got pos results days before I was due a period, so it is worth taking a test, but take a negative to mean re test in a few days if no period! It is quite normal however for women's cycles to change over time, mine were regular for years the suddenly started being later and later each month, so don't panic too much.

Thanks for the replies. I'll test this weekend if I still haven't gotten my period.

This is possible with some women (LUCKY woman you!! :p) I never tested positive with HPTs until I was 8 weeks. So wait a little while, if the test still comes up negative and you still don't get your period, a doctor's visit is in order.
