I am a F-1 student on OPT from India. I went to 2 agents for my tax returns and they gave different federal amount with 800$ difference. I work full time at employer location and have not moved . I work at same location where I studied.
I want to get a clarification. I see that one of my agents claimed itemized deduction and included my travel and boardng expenses. I am not sure if thatt is right

My wages from box 1: 39182.32
Box 2 federal tax: 5874.43

Box 12a W2 : C- $2
12 b D : 862.50
12c DD 1854.70
I have 401K

Can someone help?

I came in 2010. Started working on CPT in Jan 2012, OPT May 2012. Anything else I can deduct on?

Your refund should be $1,895.

The agent who is itemizing to claim your daily living expenses is wrong, because you are NOT working temporarily.
