Floor lamp need a circle piece of material insert into its base.
So the lamp will not be leaning. It is 12" in circumference. I could
Use plywood. Only saws I have are Miter Saw, Jigsaw,Skill saw.
But I do not know if I can cut a circle from a sheet of plywood.
Would be nice if they have some king of material already cut out

Make sure the lamp pole is tightened completely to the base (might need to add a washer or two). If your problem is due to lack of weight you could poor some plaster into the base, and let it harden. Or find some other material to do the same. Hope this helps.

A narrow blade on the jigsaw should be able to cut a circle that size without breaking the blade. If it binds immediately, cut out a square with the circular saw, and maybe cut off the 4 corners too, right to all the edges of the circle.

With yourskill saw did you get a flat bar?

Sometimes mfg. will put a circle guide in with the saw. If you do not have one, most of the Lowe's and Home Depot stores carry them.

You scribe your circle, drill a hole big enough for the saw blade and then set the guide for the diamater of the circle.

Works like acharm.
