I just got my first serious boyfriend this year and we started to be physical fairly recently. The first time he fingered me, I assumed that he broke my hymen because I bled, which was to be expected. It lasted for about three days, which I don't think is abnormal. He has fingered me since, however today he did and I bled again. I would consider the bleeding to be fairly heavy, so I am a little concerned. I have heard that your hymen can be partially broken, which is why some people bleed more than once. However, considering how heavy the bleeding is, I'm not sure if that is the case. I also don't know if it's relevant, but the blood is a brighter red than my period blood and is also a lot thinner in consistency. I'm hoping that I'm just being paranoid and there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Is there an explanation for my bleeding?

He's putting his fingers, with his finger nails, into a very sensitive area of your body. It doesn't take much to scratch or injure that area.

Fingering you would not have broken your hymen, unless he has very long fingers, and very thick fingers. If his penis hasn't entered your vagina, it's unlikely that the bleeding you experienced is from your hymen breaking. Think of it this way. You menstruate, right? Do you use tampons? A tampon is longer and thicker than the average finger, yet it won't break your hymen.

Tell the stud to be more gentle, he's hurting your lady parts.

This is just a guess. There could be something more serious going on, in which case you'll need to see a doctor. But my guess is, your boyfriend doesn't know a vagina from a hole in the wall, and he's being too rough.
