I have a 4dr 1999 Honda Accord v6 and the engine control computer went out. My mechanic placed two remanufactured 37820-P8C-A51 computers into the car. The first computer didn't communicate with the car and the second computer communicated but revealed it has a P1607 PCM Internal circuit failure. In doing my own research I found that the original computer part number was superseded and replaced with the part number 37820-P8C-305. If I purchase a new computer with the new part number, will it have have my car back running properly?

Make a phone call to your local Honda Parts Department. They should be able to tell you the corrected Honda Part No. for your ECM and tell you if it needs to be programmed for your security system (immobilizer).
