If its not in writing it didn't happen.
If you want them to go... put it in writing... and have it mailed with a receipt and a signature...
45 days is being generous... you only HAVE to give 14 days in Florida.

First, there is some confusion on FL's notice law. You are required to give written notice at least 14 days prior to when rent is due. But the vacate doesn't take effect until the rental due date. So, if rent is due on the 1st, you would have to have given notice by 3/16 to have them out by 4/1
Now if you already gave them a written notice to vacate and the deadline has passed, then your next step is to go to your local housing court and file for an eviction order. A hearing date will be set. At the hearing, unless they can show cause why they shouldn't be evicted, the court will issue the order. They will then have a few more days to leave. If they still haven't vacated, then you hire a sheriff to physically remove them.
