Its been aprox a year now (I can't afford a Doctor) & it takes me longer & longer to go each time & sometimes I can't go at all. There is minor pain

A year? Please go to the ER and get this looked at. You are endangering your entire urinary system which includes the kidneys.

The first thing that comes to mind is a problem with your prostate.
Sadly, that's just a guess, which is all we can do online.
This could be serious. I really would recommend seeing a doctor.
