When searching the internet in the 90's and up to about 2004 you would get back a lot of stuff from all over the world, now your lucky to get anything outside of North America.

2) How can I search results from all over the world like I used to?

Which search engine are you using ?
The net has become significantly larger since 2004..

Because of the internet's growth it wouldn't make sense for engines to give you results from various countries one the first, second, etc page if you didn't ask for that.
