Hello, I have been given this 600mg prescription of ibuprofen following a miscarriage induction also by prescription. I was 10weeks pregnant today and the pain is nearly unbearable. I have taken two pills over the course of the afternoon and the pain has not stopped. Can I take a pill and a half tonight? Also have 5mg of Flexeril (muscle relaxer) can they be taken together tonight?

Over the counter ibuprofin says don't take more than 1200 mg in 24 hours. It's tough on the kidneys, for one thing, and we don't know how pregnant you were or what you took for that, or where you miscarried, or if it's all out, or what, and you should be calling the place where you were prescribed all 3 drugs. If you haven't taken the Flexeril of course take one - that's what it's for, the uterine contraction pain. But asking this online isn't appropriate for the situation, with so little to go on. And if you have a fever, go to the ER.

I thought that I explained my situation very well! I was pregnant as of 10:30 this morning... that #1.. #2 I of course have been to an OB (that's who prescribed the drugs both to facilitate the miscarriage and a script for pain) Don't know if you're a professional or not.. don't know if you're a women and have even lost a baby 10 weeks is equivalent to 3 months.. the pain physically is excruciating!
Label says (1 pill every 4-6 hours! ) yes 600 mg... pharmacist says yes to 1 1/2 pill... I asked this question to see if anyone has taken this combination.. IT IS NOT INAPPROPRIATE SINCE MY OVERALL QUESTION WAS: CAN YOU TAKE OR HAS ANYONE TAKEN A PILL AND A HALF... ALSO HAS ANYONE TAKEN FLEXERIL WITH THIS DOSE OF IBUPROFEN? Thank you

I don't even know why you answered about a fever and going to ER? I'm not randomly self medicating...
