I am the drop off place of my county, and recently had a drop off a small breed, she was in heat and very malnurished, mind you all of my dogs are fixed. After she stopped bleeding she showed early signs of pregnancy, now I am estimating she is around 5.5 to 6.5 weeks, her belly is huge and is scheduled to have an x-ray Thursday so I can know what size she is having and if she could do it naturally or c section. This being said, she has been super finky on the eating part but have found that she will only eat pedigree puppy food wet mixed with real chicken, now she is starting to pick at it and her poor over larged belly is dropping. Do I need to force feed, mind you she is eating just not as much as she was when she first dropped off, she continues to play with my older fixed male pitbull and female chihuahua and my 2 year old daughter, she is not nesting at all the only thing she is doing different is pick eating but growling over the food bowl. She has gained 3.5 pounds so far.
