So there's this guy, (isn't there always?) and we've known each other since we were like 11 and we're almost 17 now. But anyway, we've always had feelings for each other since we were little but of course back then it was never anything serious. I just recently moved back to Chicago about a year ago (where he lives) and we see each other almost like every weekend. Ever since I moved back we haven't been in a relationship or anything. He's changed A LOT. He's let girls get to his head. They're all over him since he hit a growth spurt and he loves it. He's so cocky now and he has tattoos and he's known to play girls a lot and lead them on But he always tells me and his cousin (who I'm best friends with) that he'll always have feelings for me because of our past. I still have feelings for him, obviously, but whenever I tell him how I feel he either ignores me and doesn't reply or just makes a joke or just tries to play it off. It really hurts me because I've liked him for so long. It seems like he doesn't want to be in a relationship with me... even though I know he has trouble being faithful to girls and I don't know why I think he'll be faithful to me (since he did cheat on his girlfriend with me) but I feel like I can change him, I want to change him. He's so much better than what he portrays himself to be and me and other girls don't know him like I do.
But there's another thing, he doesn't seem to want to be in a relationship with me.. but whenever I go over his house, we always end up kissing and stuff. The way he kisses me makes me feels like he really wants me and wants to be with me but next thing you know he's with someone other girl hanging out with her, doing who-knows-what. I'm just sick of him treating me like other girls. Maybe I'm crazy for expecting so much from someone who doesn't really care? Idk.
I just need advice. Is he using me just to mess around with me because he knows I'll go for it (Sue me, I can't resist him lol), or do you think he really has feelings for me and he's just afraid of commitment?

He's 17 and doesn't want a relationship. So you are just another girl to mess with. You will never change him so don't hurt yourself trying.

Chicago is a big place. Why waste all this time on a playa, when you can be exploring much better options? I know the heart can lead us down these crazy paths, but what does your head say?
