So me and my friends were you know just going to New York late. We all decided to go eat some halal food on 53rd street and then after that we all decided to go take a little walk in Central Park. Nothing bad. It was our first time at the park and we didn't know that we weren't allow to be there after 1 am.. We are from Jersey City, NJ. I kind of lied about my year of birth making me look like I'm 17. But that's because I was really scared. My DOB is 07/20/96 but on the summons I put my year 1995.. This is my first time getting in trouble. My record is clean and everything. Do I really need to bring an adult with me to court? I really don't :( I just want to go and get whatever punishment they are going to give me and I will never walk into Central Park during after hours ever again..

It doesn't matter 16 or 17, if you are under 18, you are a minor, and have to bring an adult.
I think it will take about a minute to be processed. You didn't commit any real crime.
If you all got summonses, maybe your parents can all chip in for a lawyer to get it dismissed.
But I didn't even know it was illegal, so maybe I'm wrong.
I haven't been in Central Park late at night for 40 years!

I was the youngest one. All of my friends were older. There was two 18 year olds. One was 19. One was 21 and the other was 22
