I have a Goodman GMPN120-5 and the igniter works intermittingly. It times out after 3 times when the igniter doesn't glow. The igniter has been replaced at least once before we bought the house. The igniter that is currently on the furnace is wire nutted and I'm not sure if this could be my problem. Usually the furn works but lately our problem is getting more frequent. I'm open for suggestions...

May be more of a pressure switch not closing issue. What code is the diagnostic light on your control board flashing. Normally a hot surface igniter is either good or bad, very seldom will it work sometime and not others when correct power is being supplied to it. Chech for power to the igniter when it should be glowing and let me know what you find.
