You have blue in the ceiling or in the fan? Blue is usually the fan light. Find the ceiliing box wire that is hot from the switch. Connect the fan black and blue to it. Fan white goes to white in ceiling box. This is a pull chain fan?

It is a fan with four small lights and center light the fan starts with its own switch the light is connectd to a dimmer switch on the wall all of a sudden dimmer switch did not work the lights alsohave a pull chain 2 lesd switch when I opened it up I found one blue wire which came apart when I opened so I didn't know where it went Each light has a black and white wire the switch has two black all the black wires were together and whites were together I bought a new switch and put one wire to the white and the blue and black wire to the group of black wires Also there is three white wires together with a cap When Itry to hook up the dimmer switch which is also new It blew the circuit. May be instead of putting the black with the whites I should put the black with the whites with the group of three whites

Your comments are difficult to read without punctuation. Take your time and carefully describe the number and color of the wires in the ceiling box. Then carefully describe the number and color of the wires from the fan.

Which wires are connected to which? Before you continue guessing let us try to work this out...
