Is it against the law in New Hampshire for a car title loan company to give a loan to 1 person who's name (Husband) is on the title w/out both signatures on the loan (tilte has husband and wife's name) Thank you for your assistance, mu husband went and did this behind my back so I just needed to know

Hello miss:

No, it's not against the law. Either party in a marriage can make agreements on behalf of the marriage which binds the other party. His name was on the title (along with yours). He can borrow against it. He doesn't need your permission.

The biggest problem here is that New Hampshire is notorious for being behind the times in consumer protection laws. It is one of the worst states for consumer loans with no caps on interest charged. If your husband went with one of the more "dicey" agencies, you could be paying for the car for the rest of your life.

Please don't ask your question in an old thread like this. Please start a new thread instead.
And there is no reason to ask the same question twice. It won't get you an answer any quicker.

I am not sure what you are asking.
You sold the car?
The person you were buying it back from failed to tell you that they owe something on the car?
